Marshall Award nominations due soon

Nominations for the 23rd annual General George C. Marshall Public Leadership Award are being accepted through Thursday.

Nomination forms are available at Fort Vancouver.

Eligible candidates must be a resident of Clark County, age 35 or younger and have a four-year college degree.

Selection is based on demonstrated leadership ability, commitment to public service, academic achievement and potential for taking a leadership role in the community.

The recipient receives a $2,200 stipend toward a trip to the Marshall Foundation in Lexington, Va., Colonial Williamsburg and Washington, D.C., plus a full scholarship to participate in the Leadership Clark County program.
