SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — The Spokane County prosecutor’s office says a sheriff’s deputy was justified in fatally shooting a man last October in Spokane Valley.
Deputy Rustin Olson will not face criminal charges for shooting Quintin D. Dodd.
The Spokesman-Review reports (http://bit.ly/nNNOgD) investigators determined Dodd was advancing with what appeared to be a deadly weapon and refused to drop it. It was an 8-inch sharp rock.
Deputies had responded to a report of a dispute at a halfway house where Dodd had been staying.
