Ryan Denny hit two free throws after time expired to send Prairie to the fifth-place game at the Coeur d’Alene Inn-vitational.

Chiawana of Pasco led 60-59 in the closing seconds when the Prairie attempted a go-ahead basket that was off the mark. Denny pulled down the offensive rebound — his seventh of the game — and went back up for a shot with one second left when he was fouled as the horn sounded.

Denny finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds for Prairie (6-3), who will play Redmond, Ore., at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the fifth-place game.
