A woman apparently suffering from low blood sugar crashed into a small tree off of state Highway 501 near the Port of Vancouver late Sunday, officials said.

Linda J. Ross, 77, of Vancouver was traveling north on Lower River Road when her vehicle slid left and off the roadway at about 9 p.m., according to a bulletin released by the Washington State Patrol.

Ross was not injured. She was treated at Southwest Washington Medical Center and released. Her 2003 Cadillac sustained $5,000 damage.
