SEATTLE (AP) — A Burlington Northern Santa Fe spokesman says a landslide between the Washington state border and Vancouver, British Columbia has halted some train service.

Gus Melonas said early Monday that a slide Saturday halted freight traffic for a few hours, but passenger service would remain suspended until after repairs to the tracks are inspected later Monday.

He says Saturday’s slide was the second in two days along that stretch of track. A slide also occurred Friday afternoon between White Rock and Surrey, British Columbia.

No injuries were reported in either slide.
