NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Kerron Johnson scored 15 points and Scott Saunders had a double-double as Belmont routed Jacksonville 81-50 on Monday night to remain perfect in Atlantic Sun play.

Saunders scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Bruins (14-3, 6-0), and Mick Hedgepeth had 11 points.

An early 11-1 run, and a J.J. Mann 3-pointer, gave the Bruins a 17-5 lead with 10:59 left in the first half. Belmont’s used a balanced attach — shooting 44 percent from the field and clamping down on defense to limit Jacksonville to 30 percent shooting — to pull away from the Dolphins.

The Bruins were 9 of 26 from 3-point range.

Russell Powell led the Dolphins (10-4, 4-1) with 16 points, and Glenn Powell had 11.
