Comedy magician Adam the Great will introduce illusionist William Scott Anderson and comedic juggler Alex Zerbe at “Night of Magic VI: Grand Illusion” in Ridgefield tonight. The evening’s performances will mix illusion and comedy.

Anderson blends the art of magic with illusion and his own brand of humor.

Zerbe is a two-time Guinness World Record holder and has appeared on television shows such as “America’s Got Talent” and “Last Comic Standing.”

When: 7:30 tonight.

Clark County has more up its sleeve than magic. Other entertainment highlights this weekend include a poetry reading that celebrates the work and life of William Stafford, a discussion with Vancouver Symphony maestro Salvador Brotons, and the Clark County Antique and Collectible Show.

1. Poet’s life celebrated with reading, film screening

The Friends of William Stafford will celebrate his poetry and life with a reading and film screening today.

The event, hosted by Christopher Luna, will feature Arnie Dyer, Dorothy Stafford and Oregon Poet Laureate Paulann Petersen. Those attending are invited to bring a favorite Stafford poem to share.

The documentary “Every War Has Two Losers,” which is based on Stafford’s journals, will be screened.

When: 2-4 p.m. today.

2. Maestro celebrates career with Vancouver Symphony in conversation

Vancouver Symphony maestro Salvador Brotons will be in conversation with Robert McBride, host for the stations of All Classical FM, which broadcast locally on KQAC 89.9 FM.

The two will be accompanied by pianist Michael Liu.

Brotons will discuss his career. He has composed more than 100 personal works and is celebrating his 20th anniversary with the symphony.

When: 4-5 p.m. Sunday.

Where: Unitarian Universalist Church of Vancouver, 4505 E. 18th St., Vancouver.

Admission: $10 suggested donation. The donation will benefit the Friends Music Education Outreach Program.

3. Antique and vintage wares take center stage at collectible show

The Clark County Antique and Collectible Show features hundreds of exhibitors and collectors selling turn-of-the-century furniture, antique toys, Victorian décor, garden art, movie memorabilia and estate jewelry.

Other items for sale include vintage clothing, glassware, old radios, movie posters, science-fiction collectibles, and fishing and hunting collectibles.

The featured exhibit is a collection of maps and aerial photographs of Clark County. The images were taken between 1854 and 2000.

Experts will be on hand to evaluate individual pieces brought to the show, for a fee.

When: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Where: Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds, 17402 N.E. Delfel Road, Ridgefield.

4. Theater production looks at unlikely friendships

The latest show from Artists Repertory Theatre tells how an unlikely friendship can emerge in unexpected places.

“Superior Donuts” follows a downtrodden doughnut shop owner who hires an aspiring young writer with bright ideas.

When: Through Feb. 12, with performances at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays; 2 p.m. Sundays; and 11 a.m. Wednesday.

There will be no performance Feb. 8.

Where: Artists Repertory Theatre’s Morrison Stage, 1515 S.W. Morrison St., Portland.

Admission: $25-$42, $20 for students with identification.
