Cooking fire injures Lynnwood man

LYNNWOOD, Wash. (AP) — Firefighters say a man injured in a house fire in Lynnwood had fallen asleep, leaving food cooking on the stove.

The Snohomish County Fire District 1 reports the fire was reported about 7 p.m. Sunday, and firefighters saw flames as they arrived.

The victim was at a neighbor’s house. He’s been taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Damage to the home is estimated at $275,000.’
