Reed races to 4th AMA Pro Motocross win of year

BUCHANAN, Mich. (AP) — Australia’s Chad Reed won the RedBud National on Saturday for his fourth AMA Pro Motocross Championship victory of the year, winning the first moto and finishing third in the second.

The Honda star has a 16-point lead over Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto in the 450 Class standings after six of 12 events. Villopoto, from Poulsbo, Wash., was third overall, finishing ninth in the first moto and winning the second.

Ryan Dungey, the Suzuki rider from Belle Plaine, Minn., was second in both motos. He’s third in the standings, 22 points behind Reed.

In the 250 Class, Kawasaki’s Blake Baggett, from Redlands, Calif., swept the motos for his fourth victory of the year. Honda’s Ashley Fiolek, from St. Augustine, Fla., swept the motos in the Women’s Motocross Championship for her second victory.
