Habitat for Humanity launches training effort

Evergreen Habitat for Humanity is kicking off training for volunteers with the 2011 Women Build program at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse, 18801 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd. The sessions cover safety and skills needed for an all-woman team to build a home for a local family in need.

Evergreen Habitat for Humanity is a program the focuses on helping low-income Clark County residents build and own a home.

Lowe’s will be facilitating the six workshops on Saturdays through July and August. The first session includes a chili feed and dessert potluck.
