Oregon man appointed to Gorge commission

Rodger Nichols of The Dalles, Ore., has been appointed to a four-year term on the Columbia River Gorge Commission, representing Wasco County.

He replaces Judy Davis.

The Wasco County Board of Commissioners appointed Nichols, who had served on that board since 2003 and was the commission chairman two years.

Nichols has worked in the sales, editorial and composition departments for Eagle Newspapers in The Dalles. Currently, he is the news director for Haystack Broadcasting.
