Oilers sign D Chorney, C O’Marra to 1-year deals

EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) — The Edmonton Oilers have re-signed defenseman Taylor Chorney and center Ryan O’Marra to one-year deals.

The 24-year-old Chorney had a goal and three assists in 12 games for the Oilers last season. He has one goal and six assists in 56 career games since being drafted by Edmonton 36th overall in the 2005 entry draft.

O’Marra, also 24, had one goal and four assists in 21 games for Edmonton in 2010-11. The 15th overall pick in the 2005 draft has one goal and five assists in 24 career games.
