Right One wins Belmont’s Jaipur Stakes

NEW YORK (AP) — Right One and jockey Javier Castellano rallied to beat Yield Bogey by a head on Saturday in the $100,000 Jaipur Stakes on the turf at Belmont Park.

A 5-year-old gelding bred in France, Right One improved to 3 for 4 since arriving in the U.S. this spring and joining Christophe Clement’s barn. The time was 1:21.87 for the seven furlongs on the firm course.

Right One paid $5.40, $3.10 and $2.40. Yield Bogey returned $4.30 and $3.50 while Evolutionist, $6.40, was third.
