NEW YORK (AP) — Ava K., the 3-5 favorite, held off Miss Valentine by a half length Friday in the $60,000 Wandering Cloud Stakes for New York bred 3-year-old fillies at Belmont Park.
Ramon Dominguez rode for trainer Mike Hushion as Ava K. ran the 612 furlongs in 1:16.60 on the fast track. She improved to 4-0-2 in six starts, paying $3.30, $2.30 and $2.10.
Miss Valentine returned $3.40 and $2.50 while Hot Danger paid $3.40 to show.
