NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Taylor Hill struck out a career-high 13 to lead Vanderbilt to a 6-1 victory over Belmont on Sunday night and into the super regionals for the second straight year.

Hill allowed just five hits in eight innings, including just two after the second, as Vanderbilt (50-10) reached 50 wins for the second time in school history.

Jason Esposito was 3 for 4 with a homer and two RBIs, falling a triple shy of the cycle.

Tim Egerton hit a solo homer in the second inning for the Bruins (38-26). The Atlantic Sun Conference tournament champion won eight of its last 10 — with both losses coming to Vanderbilt.
