Gardner students raise $950 for Cancer Society

Fairgrounds — Students at The Gardner School of Arts & Science gave the American Cancer Society a big check.Students raised $950 on June 6 during the school’s annual Gardner Market, where the students build, host and manage market booths featuring child-made art, foods and crafts. Quinn Conkey, 8, created doughnut-shaped crayons out of old, broken crayons donated by teachers and friends. The market focused on green, recycled and locally grown products.
