BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Zach Filzen and Mitchell Watt each scored 12 points and Buffalo defeated Miami (Ohio) 59-49 on Wednesday night.

Watt made it a double-double with 10 rebounds as the Bulls (17-11, 8-7 Mid-American Conference) ended a two-game losing streak and avenged their 70-67 loss to Miami on Jan. 13.

The RedHawks (15-15, 10-5) trailed 37-32 at halftime and briefly led 43-42 when Nick Winbush made a 3-pointer with 13:10 to play. Buffalo scored the next five points, but Miami pulled to within one, 48-47, when Chris McHenry scored on a layup with 9:51 left.

Miami, which led by 12 early in the first half, went cold after McHenry’s layup. The RedHawks scored only one field goal the rest of the way, allowing the Bulls to pull away to their biggest lead, the final margin at 10 points.

Winbush and Orlando Williams each had 14 points for Miami, and Winbush added 11 rebounds.
