80 from Ore. Air National Guard go to Middle East

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — More than 80 members of Oregon’s Air National Guard are headed to the Middle East for four months.

Most are from 116th Air Control Squadron based in Portland, and three are from the 270th Air Control Squadron based in Klamath Falls.

A mobilization ceremony is planned Friday afternoon in Portland. Gov. John Kitzhaber, U.S. Rep. David Wu, Maj. Gen. Raymond Rees will join other government and business officials.
