VANCOUVER — Central Vancouver greenhouse Shorty’s Garden and Home will feature live music by the Patrick Lamb Band during its St. Paddy’s For Parks event Friday. All proceeds benefit the Parks Foundation of Clark County.

Saturday, Shorty’s and the foundation will host a free kids’ day. Twelve nonprofit groups will be on hand to provide information and hands-on learning about everything from worm composting to exploring nature in your backyard. There will also be face-painting, balloon artists, a passport game, arts and crafts, and a planting and education station.

The free St. Paddy’s for Kids is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Tickets to the Friday night concert, including one free beverage, are $15 in advance, at Shorty’s or online at http://ticketsoregon.com, or $20 at the door. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Shorty’s Garden and Home, 10006 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd.

The Parks Foundation of Clark County accepts and administers donations, gifts and bequests to bolster local parks, trails and recreation programs.
