Clark baseball beats Centralia, 12-5

Joel Johnson had three hits and knocked in two runs to help the Clark College baseball team beat Centralia 12-5 on Tuesday afternoon.

The win in a game played at Clackamas Community College in Oregon City snapped a four-game slide for the Penguins (4-10).

Jeremy Girod doubled and had two RBI, and Ethan Teel knocked in two runs in the victory. Jake Dowers pitched into the sixth inning for the win.

Earlier Tuesday, Clackamas beat Clark 10-7. In that game, Lee Sheller had a double and three RBI, and Taylor Dunn had a double and two RBI for Clark.

Clark plays today at Clackamas against Skagit Valley at 10 a.m. and against Linn-Benton at 1 p.m. The Penguins are scheduled to play at home for the first time on Saturday, hosting Everett for league games at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
