STRASBOURG, France (AP) — Andrea Petkovic of Germany won her second career title after her Marion Bartoli retired while trailing 6-4, 1-0 Saturday in the final of the Strasbourg International.

The top-seeded Bartoli asked for a medical timeout at 5-4 to have her left thigh taped, but a few games later she decided to stop.

Petkovic double-faulted to drop the opening game, but she won five straight games to lead 5-2. The second-seeded German hit a drop shot to take the first set.

Bartoli may be a doubt for the French Open, which begins on Sunday.
