Stranger attacks woman in Keizer home

SALEM, Ore. (AP) — Police are looking for a man who attacked a woman in her home at Keizer.

She told police the stranger knocked on her door Wednesday afternoon, forced his way in and began choking her in front of her two small children.

The 27-year-old woman was able to fend him off, and he fled on foot.

A search with a police dog in the neighborhood was unsuccessful.

The Statesman Journal reports schools in the area were notified.
