CLE ELUM, Wash. (AP) — Officials say a 15-year-old girl is dead and three other people are injured after their car veered off Interstate 90 and crashed into a tree.

The Washington State Patrol says the crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. Sunday about six miles west of Cle Elum in central Washington state.

The patrol says Brittney Davis was pronounced dead at the scene. Driver 42-year-old Marita S. Davis, and passengers 6-year-old Jayden Davis and 8-year-old Kaycee Davis were hospitalized with injuries.

All are from Yakima but the patrol statement did not provide information on how they were related.

The Kittitas Valley Community Hospital told The Associated Press that the woman and the 6 year old were mother and son.

No information on the cause of the crash was provided but the patrol says all were wearing restraints and drugs and alcohol were not involved.
