OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — A technical change to the Washington constitution has been approved.

Unofficial election results Tuesday night show voters passed the measure by a wide margin. The resolution seeks to fix conflicting voter residency requirements in the state Constitution. The state will continue to abide by current rules, which allow eligible citizens to vote if they’ve lived in the state for 30 days before an election.

The measure passed the Legislature unanimously and drew no formal opposition.
