A man armed with a handgun robbed a Mill Plain gas station early Saturday, Vancouver police said.

Police were called to the Chevron station at 210 E. Mill Plain Boulevard just after 7:30 a.m. after a man entered through the front doors and demanded money from the clerk, police said. He fled out a side door with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

A K-9 search following the robbery was unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall and skinny. He was wearing a baseball cap, a black leather jacket over a blue hooded sweatshirt and a large black backpack with white stripes on it. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Vancouver Police Department.
