LOS ANGELES (AP) — Marcos Knight had 15 points and JT Sulton added 12 points and 11 rebounds as Middle Tennessee State defeated Loyola Marymount 58-51 on Sunday.
Knight made two free throws to give the Blue Raiders (2-0) a 51-46 lead with 2:10 remaining. After Loyola Marymount’s subsequent possession, Sulton padded the lead to seven points with a layup, and MTSU secured the victory at the free-throw line.
Ashley Hamilton had 15 points and Jarred DuBois 12 for the Lions (1-1).
