Maintenance work on the Interstate 5 Bridge will raise the span and stop traffic at times Saturday, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.

Crews will perform counterweight adjustments from 7 to 10 a.m. , causing three lifts of the northbound side of the bridge during that time, according to ODOT.

Later, electrical work will mean multiple bridge lifts in both directions from 10 p.m. to midnight.

Each bridge lift will last about 20 minutes, according to ODOT. Drivers should be ready for delays and plan for extra time if they use the Interstate 5 Bridge while the work taking place.
