CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — Casey Brockman ran, threw and caught a touchdown and Murray State blocked an extra point in the final minutes to close out the regular season with a 35-34 victory over Southeast Missouri State.

Brockman ran for a 6-yard score, threw a 23-yard touchdown to Pat Robertson and caught a 10-yard TD pass from Rickey Mitchell for the Racers (7-4, 5-3 Ohio Valley). He finished with 222 yards passing and two TDs to go along with 77 yards rushing.

Mike Harris also rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown, giving him 1,028 as he became the 10th player in Murray State history to rush for 1,000 yards in a season.

Southeast Missouri (3-8, 2-6) scored 20 fourth-quarter points to make it close, including a 2-yard run by quarterback Matt Scheible to pull within 35-34 with 2:07 remaining. But Murray State’s Tyler Evans blocked the extra-point attempt by kicker Drew Geldbach. Scheible had 105 yards rushing and three TDs, and also threw for 143 yards and a pair of scores.
