CANNON BEACH, Ore. (AP) — Firefighters on the Oregon coast say high winds sent a large branch crashing through the windshield of an SUV traveling near Cannon Beach. KGW reports that the branch landed right between the two front seat occupants on Monday but they escaped unhurt.

Firefighters say the branch fell from a tree on U.S. Highway 101 just south of Cannon Beach.
