Utah Valley turns back Northern Illinois 58-47

OREM, Utah (AP) — Isiah Williams scored 15 points and Geddes Robinson posted his fourth double-double of the season to lead Utah Valley to a 58-47 victory over Northern Illinois on Monday night.

Robinson had 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Wolverines (4-3), who ended a two-game losing streak. Keawe Enos added 11 points.

Abdel Nader led the Huskies (0-6) with eight points but shot just 4 of 17.

The game was tied 29-29 with 16:06 to play when Utah Valley embarked on a 12-0 run over the next 5:07, including two 3-pointers by Enos. That gave the Wolverines a 41-29 advantage, and they pushed the gap to 56-38 with 3:52 left.

Both teams shot less than 40 percent. The Wolverines hit 20 of 52 (38.5 percent), and the Huskies converted 20 of 57 (35.1 percent). Utah Valley held a 41-36 rebounding edge.
