Clark men roll past Clackamas

Rebounding and defense led the Clark Penguins to a 75-52 men’s basketball win over visiting Clackamas on Tuesday at the O’Connell Center.

Clark (2-0) also benefitted from balanced scoring as eight players contributed at least five points and four reached double figures.

“Our defense looked very good tonight,” Clark coach Mike Arnold said. “We really did a good job defending on the ball.”

Devon Kiser came off the bench to contribute 14 points, and five rebounds. He provided nice energy, Arnold said.

Jerrid Hamler, Austin Bragg and Derek Owens scored 10 points apiece for the Penguins.

Clark next heads to Iowa to play three games at the Emerson Showcase, a tournament that features many top junior college teams from the Midwest.
