ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — The Detroit Lions have signed defensive lineman Keyunta Dawson.

The team announced the move Wednesday. Detroit is without defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh (ehn-DAHM’-uh-kehn soo), who was suspended two games by the league for roughing up a Green Bay offensive lineman after the whistle last week. Suh has appealed.

Dawson, a defensive end, played with the Indianapolis Colts from 2007-10, starting 14 games in 2008.

The Lions have also signed wide receiver Marcus Harris to the practice squad and placed wide receiver Nate Hughes on the practice squad injured reserve list. Hughes has a leg injury. A team spokesman did not say which leg.
