PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Temple forward Michael Eric will miss six weeks after injuring his right knee.

The school said Wednesday that Eric, a graduate student, injured his patella in practice on Nov. 25.

Eric, who missed the final 10 games last season due to a fracture of the same patella, ranks fourth on the Owls (3-2) in scoring with a 10.5 average and leads the Atlantic 10 Conference with an 11.3 rebound average.

The Nigeria native earned his bachelor’s degree in advertising last May. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in adult and organizational development.
