What’s the buzz from the world of sports? Here are some items that will have people talking:

1

From a Raider fan and an NFL fan:

Thank you, Mr. Davis, for your vision.

Thank you for making Silver and Black the two baddest colors in the world.

Thank you for signing the renegades of the league, for reminding us that sport is the perfect place for a second chance.

Thank you for 48 years of Commitment to Excellence.

And when the critics claimed you lost a step, don’t worry, we fans had your back.

Yes, it’s been rough the last eight seasons, but true fans remember all 48 years. True fans remember you are the only owner in the league who also was a coach of the year in professional football. True fans recall the Raiders making it to the Super Bowl in the 1960s, 70s, 80s, and then the 00s. No other team could say that.

Heck, few people recall that you were instrumental in the creation of the Super Bowl, in the merging of the AFL and the NFL.

Your real fans will not forget.

You once told your Raiders after one of their three Super Bowl victories: “Take pride and be proud. Your commitment to excellence and your will to win will endure forever. You were magnificent.”

Now, we in the Raider Nation, say those words to you.

Forever Raiders!
