CB Winfield out for Vikings against Panthers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings will be without both starting cornerbacks Sunday against Carolina as Antoine Winfield is inactive with a neck injury and Chris Carr is suspended. Asher Allen and Cedric Griffin will start.

Also out are guard Anthony Herrera, running backs Lorenzo Booker, linebacker Xavier Adibi, tackle DeMarcus Love and defensive end D’Aundre Reed.

Wide receiver Percy Harvin is active.

Carolina is without nickel cornerback Darius Butler, whose daughter had heart problems earlier this week. Also inactive are quarterback Jimmy Clausen, running back Mike Goodson, tight end Richie Brockel, tackle Lee Ziemba and defensive tackle Frank Kearse.
