SALEM, Ore. (AP) — An adult son of Oregon House Co-Speaker Arnie Roblan has died.

Roblan’s office said Aaron Roblan died Monday in San Francisco. He was 37.

The speaker’s office did not release a cause of death. Roblan said in a statement that his son had recently been sick with a suspected auto-immune disorder but was responding to treatment and had returned to work.

The co-speaker and his wife were on a legislative trade mission in China when they learned of their son’s death, and they have returned to San Francisco.

Aaron Roblan grew up in Coos Bay and was a labor and employment lawyer in San Francisco.

He is survived by his wife, Maria.
