North Image — State Farm agent and YMCA board member Kathy Landers recently applied for a grant from State Farm to donate to the Clark County Family YMCA. Landers received the grant and presented $5,000 to the YMCA on Aug. 23. The money will be applied toward the YMCA’s extended elementary learning program, which reaches more than 900 kindergarten through fifth-graders each year. The after-school program has grown from nine elementary schools in 2007 to more than 20 in 2010.
