IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Iowa reserve linebacker Bruce Davis has left the team, citing personal reasons.

Davis, a senior from Cleveland, suffered a season-ending knee injury last September and had played sparingly this season.

Davis, who finishes his career with 20 total tackles, is set to graduate in December. Hawkeyes coach Kirk Ferentz says he and his staff appreciate Davis’s contributions to the program.

Iowa (2-1) hosts Louisiana-Monroe (1-2) on Saturday.
