Letter: A vote to support C-Tran

The Columbian
Published: September 21, 2011, 5:00pm

I’m voting to approve Proposition 1 in November.

C-Tran operating budgets have already been reduced, and more cuts mean even more curtailments in service. Requiring the agency to use up its limited emergency reserves is not a solution. Thousands of folks countywide rely on C-Tran to get to work, go to school, access medical care, attend events and do their shopping. Adding 2 cents on a $10 purchase is reasonable to keep county bus services available.
