PORTLAND, Ore (AP) — A cyclist who volunteered with the annual Cycle Oregon bike tour has been missing for nearly two weeks and his family thinks he may be disoriented because of a relapse of cancer.

Mark Bosworth vanished from a campsite in Southern Oregon on the night of Sept. 16. Police and volunteers searched the area but didn’t find him.

Bosworth’s relatives say he has had two bouts with lymphoma. They worry it has returned and is affecting his brain.

A man wearing clothes similar to Bosworth’s was seen hitchhiking near the campsite the night he disappeared, and his relatives think it was him.

Friends and relatives have created blogs as well as Facebook and Twitter accounts to distribute his photo across the country and hope that someone recognizes him.
