Battle Ground police have arrested two armed robbery suspects, one of whom is implicated in two robberies on the same day.

Nicholas E. Duran, 22, of Battle Ground was arrested on suspicion of two robberies on March 27, one at a home in the 300 block of Southeast Fifth Avenue and the other at IQ Mini Mart on South Parkway Avenue in Battle Ground.

An unidentified 16-year-old male was arrested in connection to the residential robbery.

According to a news release from the Battle Ground Police Department, two robbers entered the home just before 1 a.m. March 27 armed with knives. They demanded money and fled. Then, at 9:50 p.m. that day, a robber wearing a bandanna went to the IQ Mini Mart, displayed a knife and demanded money.

No one was injured in either event, according to the news release.

After further investigation, Battle Ground police said they executed a search warrant on Saturday at Duran’s home and recovered a bandanna, knife and money.
