Rodriguez wins stage 4, takes overall Basque lead

BERA, Spain (AP) — Spanish cyclist Joaquin Rodriguez took the overall lead of the Tour of Basque Country on Thursday after winning the fourth stage.

The Movistar cyclist finished the 94-mile ride with an 8-second lead over Olympic champion Samuel Sanchez, the overall leader after the third stage.

The next-to-last stage Friday is a 114-mile race from Bera to Onati.
