KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) — A Pasco man collected baseball cards as a child and still has them stashed in boxes. But they weren’t enough for Mike McWain. He has his baseball heroes tattooed on his body.
It started with a Babe Ruth tattoo in 1997, but the idea really took off in the past two years after he came under the needle of tattoo artist Jesse Walsh who owns Asylum Tattoo in Pasco.
After 180 hours in the chair at a total cost of about $10,000 McWain has tattoos on his back of Ty Cobb, “Shoeless” Joe Jackson, Joe DiMaggio and Honus Wagner.
The Tri-City Herald reports (http://is.gd/SVbD1J ) he also has tattoos of his two children and Yankee Stadium.
