Gubernatorial debate to be held at WSUV campus

Washington State University Vancouver was announced Friday as the host of the Aug. 29 gubernatorial debate between candidates Jay Inslee and Rob McKenna.

The debate, from 8 to 9 p.m. at the WSU Vancouver auditorium, will be broadcast live on KATU-TV, and Brian Wood will be the host, said the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce.

The auditorium can seat fewer than 200 people. Tickets are free and will be distributed by the Vancouver chamber said. Forty tickets will be available to the public starting Aug. 16. Details on how to get them will be available Aug. 13.

CVTV and TVW will rebroadcast the debate on Comcast channels 21 and 23.
