Winners announced for downtown mural contest

The Clark County Mural Society has announced the winners a panel of judges chose Aug. 1 in its Summer of Murals competition.

First place, with a $5,000 prize, was awarded to Travis Czekalski for “Chinook Native Americans” at Washington and Sixth streets. Second place and a $3,000 prize went to Tamra Pfeifle Davisson for “Brewery” at Evergreen Boulevard and Main Street. Third place and $2,000 were awarded to Guy Drennan for “Old Apple Tree” at Columbia and Sixth streets.

Drennan also received the People’s Choice Award and a $500 prize for his mural.
