The Goddard School, a chain that specializes in early-childhood development, will open its second Clark County location Monday in Vancouver’s Salmon Creek area, according to Michelle Solari, owner of the new school franchise.

The school, at 13201 N.E. 27th Ave., will offer a learning-through-play curriculum and care for children 6 weeks to 6 years old. It will accommodate as many as 130 students and employ between 25 and 30 people.

The county’s first Goddard School opened in 2005 at 3111 S.E. 192nd Ave. Goddard Systems Inc. is the chain’s parent, based in King of Prussia, Pa., with more than 370 franchises in 34 states and an enrollment of 45,000 students.
