Santa Clara beats San Jose State 75-54

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Evan Roquemore scored 16 points to lead Santa Clara to a 75-54 win over San Jose State Tuesday night.

Raymond Cowels III contributed 13 points for the Broncos (7-2), who never trailed in the game and led by double digits from just past the midway point in the first half. Santa Clara led 44-25 at halftime.

Kevin Foster had 11 points, six assists and two steals. Foster, the all-time leading scorer at Santa Clara, entered play in second place in the nation in steals per game (3.88). Marc Trasolini had nine points and nine rebounds for the Broncos.

James Kinney led the Spartans (5-4) with 19 points.
