Princess of Sylmar romps in Aqueduct feature

NEW YORK (AP) — Princess of Sylmar surged to a 5 1/4-length victory over Kimono, giving trainer Todd Pletcher a 1-2 finish in the $67,620 allowance feature for 2-year-old fillies on Thursday at Aqueduct.

The victory was the first of three on the card for jockey Rajiv Maragh as Princess of Sylmar improved to 2 for 3. The time was 1:42.39 for a mile and 70 yards.

Princess of Sylmar paid $7.80, $3.40 and $2.40. Kimono, the 6-5 favorite, returned $2.80 and $2.10 as the Pletcher duo raced uncoupled in the betting. Firenze Feeling paid $2.10 to show.
