A man was injured Friday night in a one-vehicle rollover accident in Brush Prairie.

A GMC SUV was southbound on Northeast Caples Road around the 15700 block at 7:35 p.m. when it rolled several times into an open field. A male passenger escaped from the vehicle, but the driver, a man estimated to be in his 30s, was still trapped inside, said Fire District 3 Chief Steve Wrightson.

Several passersby held the vehicle in place while firefighters used rescue tools to stabilize the vehicle and remove the driver, according to a news release from District 3. He was transported by AMR ambulance with injuries that were not life-threatening. The passenger refused medical treatment.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of this accident.
