Driver, motorcyclist killed in crash near Five Corners

A motorcyclist and the driver of a vehicle were killed in a crash Wednesday evening near Five Corners, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Family of the two people killed in the crash were notified, according to the sheriff’s office, but their identities have not been released. Passengers in the vehicle were taken to area hospitals.

According to the sheriff’s office, witnesses called 911 about 6 p.m. to report a motorcycle and a car crashed on Northeast 72nd Avenue near 101st Street, and multiple people were injured.

The Vancouver Fire Department, American Medical Response and the sheriff’s office responded to the crash north of Vancouver city limits and south of St. Johns Road.

The driver and the motorcyclist had already died at the scene.

No other details about the crash were available.

The crash is being investigated by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit.
